Learner driver insurance is a type of short-term car insurance that covers you while you learn to drive. Along with a provisional licence in your back pocket and a tattered copy of the Highway Code by your bed, it’s important to make sure you’re covered as you rack up the hours practicing for your driving test. If you’ve had an accident or need to make a claim, call Aviva on 08000 156 166 1 straightaway.

You'll need your policy number to start your claim – so it's a good idea to have this to hand.

Step 2 of 3

Expert review

The team will take a look at your claim and work out how best to help you.

Aviva will review any photos or documents you’ve sent as part of your claim and ask you for details of anyone else involved.

Step 3 of 3

Settling your claim

Aviva will work with you to sort things out as quickly as possible.

Remember, any claim you make won’t affect a no claims discount on any annual policy on the vehicle.

It doesn’t matter how long it’s been since you passed your test, if you’re under 24 you can still qualify for a General Accident telematics policy.
