Renewal Of Passports

In an effort to ease the passport renewal process for Philippines national overseas, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and VFS Global signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the establishment of a Passport Renewal Center (PaRC).

PaRC aims to provide an alternative means for Filipinos to avail of passport renewal services in the UK.

PaRC is authorized by the DFA to accept passport applications from Filipinos holding electronic passports and whose applications do not entail a change in passport record of the holder. The Embassy monitors passport applications lodged through PaRC and the passports that are produced go through the Embassy.

Overview

For Adult Applicants (18 Years old and above) The Passport Renewal Centre can assist any applicants wishing to renew their ePassports as long as there are no changes on the details of the biographical page. Passports issued to adults will be valid for 10 years.

Application Fees

• Application fee for renewal of passport is payable in debit/credit card, we do not accept cash and American Express Card. The passport renewal fee is similar to the fee charged at the Philippines Embassy for the renewal of Philippine passports.
• Applicant shall be charged a convenience fee of GBP 45 per application in addition to the Passport fees and must be paid in card (all applicable taxes included). We do not accept cash and American Express card. The applicable fee in GBP is as per the current exchange rate. It is subject to change without notice due to sudden foreign exchange fluctuations.
• All fees are non-refundable

Documents Required

• Personal appearance of the applicant at the Passport ePassport Renewal Centre is required

• Original and one (1) photocopy of the following:
• Oath of Allegiance
• Order of Approval
• Identification Certificate

Photo Specifications

Passport photograph will be captured at the Passport Renewal Centre. Important Reminders: Eyeglasses, contact lenses, jewelry (earring, necklace), heavy make-up should be removed before photo capturing. It is also advisable for applicants having sore eyes, eye sty or any redness in the eyes to come for e-passport renewal when their eye condition improves

Processing Time

The new passport may be released within at least 8 to 10 weeks from the date the application is submitted, barring unforeseen events

Overview

For Minor Applicants (below 18 years old) Passport to be issued to a minor child will be valid for 5 years. A minor applicant must be accompanied by either parent during the time of application.

• One (1) photocopy, data page of the current Philippine passport.
• Original and one (1) photocopy, PSA-issued Birth Certificate of the minor applicant
  • If the minor is an illegitimate child, personal appearance of the mother is required.
  • If either parent is unable to appear, the following must be presented:
    • A Special Power of Attorney (SPA) authorising a representative to assist the child in the application process
    • A copy of either parent’s valid passport
    • A copy of the valid passport or photographic ID of the authorized representative

    Important Instruction for applicant:

    • Personal appearance of the child and either parent. If the child’s age is seven (7) years and below, only the mother can accompany the child during passport application.
    • If the child is accompanied by his/her father during passport application, the original and one (1) photocopy of the parents’ PSA-issued Marriage Certificate or Report of Marriage must be presented.
